System requirements
- iOS / iPadOS 26 or later.
- An ARKit-capable iPhone or iPad (with a TrueDepth camera for face tracking; a LiDAR-equipped device improves depth and placement).
- For streaming to a computer (Warudo, NDI tools, FreeD receivers): both devices on the same local network, ideally over Wi-Fi 5 GHz or wired.
Getting started
New to the app? Start with the Getting Started guide, then see the full documentation for Warudo, pose streaming, NDI, avatars, and recording.
Frequently asked questions
Warudo isn't receiving my camera
Check that both devices are on the same network, that the VMC sender is enabled in VTOKU Cam, and
that the destination IP and port match Warudo's VMC receiver (default send port 19190).
Make sure no firewall is blocking UDP. See Connect to Warudo.
FreeD data isn't arriving
FreeD is sent over your subnet as UDP broadcast (default port 40000). Confirm the
receiver listens on the same port and that your network allows broadcast traffic. Some networks
block broadcast on the guest/AP-isolation setting. See Pose
streaming.
NDI sources don't show up
NDI discovery relies on mDNS/multicast on your LAN. Make sure both devices are on the same subnet and that multicast isn't blocked. If discovery fails on a restrictive network, enter the source manually where supported. See NDI in & out.
My avatar won't import
VTOKU Cam imports .vrm avatar files. Copy yours into the app via the Files app, then
pick it in the Avatars sheet. If a model fails to load, it may be malformed or use an unsupported
VRM feature, try re-exporting it. See Avatars & faces.
Face tracking isn't moving the avatar
Face tracking needs a TrueDepth-capable device and the camera permission granted. If a Warudo VMC feed is live, it overrides the on-device face capture by design. See Face tracking.
Recordings aren't saving
Grant the "Add to Photos" permission when prompted. Recordings save to your Photos library at the end of a take. See Recording takes.
How do I join the beta?
VTOKU Cam is in beta through Apple's TestFlight ahead of the App Store launch. Tap Join the TestFlight beta, install TestFlight if you don't have it, and you're in. Beta builds are free. Found a bug or have a request? Email support@vtoku.com.
What is Pro, and do I need it?
VTOKU Cam is free to create with. Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks two things:
- NDI|HX output, efficient HEVC video over your network.
- A commercial-use license. Commercial use means use by a company or organization, or by a creator earning US $100,000 a year or more. Personal use and smaller creators stay on the free tier.
Pro is tied to your Apple Account and restores across your devices through the App Store. Pricing is shown at launch. See the commercial-use terms for the full definition.
